Just a little over a year after the Maglaris family opened eco-friendly restaurant Prasino (the second outpost after Prasino’s first suburban eatery), they’re at it again in Wicker Park, this time honoring their Greek heritage. The simple menu spotlights the main dish on tap: gyros. Choose your meat (lamb, chicken, pork, beef), wrapping (lettuce, housemade pita) and topping, or opt for a Mediterranean salad. Wash down your meal with Greek wine, Goose Island beer or natural soda. As for the environment, the raw space features brick walls, tons of exposed bulbs hanging from the ceiling and dark wood high tops. unexpected perk: The café offers free wifi for all guests, too, should you decide to camp out for the day.
